In September 2020, my friend Ian Finch and I travelled to Scotland to take on a small canoeing expedition deep into a wild corner of the Highlands.

To reach our destination, we had to cross multiple lochs linked together via a series of portages.

Our strong will to complete our intended circuit was challenged by the power of the elements, forcing us to make sacrifices and adaptions to our plan.
